MANHATTAN, Kan. -- After so much frustration spanning so long, Texas only wanted to savor leaving Kansas State and Bill Snyder Family Stadium with a victory.
"Not to take anything away from Coach Snyder and the job that his team did, but we won ugly," Longhorns coach Tom Herman said. "But the key word in there is 'won.' "
For once there was no Manhattan meltdown, no blank stares, no crowd chants about owning Texas.
"That's a credit to this team and [the] maturity of these guys," senior tight end Andrew Beck said.
A 19-14 win Saturday was Texas' first at Kansas State since 2002, ending a five-game losing streak.
