TYLER, Texas - Texas wide receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey was named Player of the Week by The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award on Tuesday morning. The junior caught eight passes for a career-high 159 yards and two touchdown in the Longhorns' 41-34 road victory at Texas Tech last Saturday. Quarterback Sam Ehlinger earned honorable mention this week, as well.
A native of Southlake, Texas, Humphrey caught a game-winning, 29-yard touchdown catch with 21 seconds left to break a 34-34 tie. He became the first Longhorn since 2012 with back-to-back 100-yard receiving games and just the fourth Longhorn ever with back-to-back 140-yard games.
