With head coaches wrapping up quarterback competitions all around the country by naming starters, there’s no indication that Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian has done the same in the battle between junior Casey Thompson and redshirt freshman Hudson Card.
And Sarkisian has been clear that he hasn’t have a timetable to name, choosing instead to go with his gut, and even mentioned that he won’t be in a rush to inform the media of his choice when he finally makes it.
In what Sarkisian has called the most difficult quarterback decision of his head-coaching career and the second-most difficult overall after the 2003 battle at USC between Matt Leinart and Matt Cassel, there hasn’t been much separation.
