For the second time in as many days, head coach David Pierce and the two-seed Texas baseball will duke it out with the top-seed regional host and No. 9 Miami Hurricanes in the Coral Gables Regional. This time around, though, Texas will be taking on Miami in the regional final with a shot at making it to super regionals for the third year in a row.
Pierce and the Longhorns have actually made it to the College World Series in two consecutive postseason appearances, dating back to the 2021 season. Texas has also made it to the College World Series in four consecutive postseason appearances, dating back to the 2018 season.
