The No. 7 Texas Longhorns have had a clear mission all year: compete for championships.
This is their first chance at fulfilling that mission, squaring off against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in an effort to claim the title in their last year in the league. It is a bit poetic for Texas, having won the conference title in the first year of the league to have a chance to close that chapter by hoisting the title yet again.
Standing in their way is a familiar foe, and one that has frankly owned the matchup since the last time Texas hoisted the trophy in 2009.
