Spring practice affords the Texas Longhorns coaching staff a chance to develop further versatility with a particular emphasis defensively this year as redshirt sophomore Ryan Niblett moved from offense to defense, senior Jaylon Guilbeau is taking reps at outside cornerback, and senior Trey Moore is working at three different positions.
During a Tuesday media availability, head coach Steve Sarkisian discussed each move.
The biggest change was made by Niblett, who arrived on the Forty Acres as a member of the 2023 recruiting class as a wide receiver before playing running back last year out of necessity after the season-ending injuries sustained by CJ Baxter and Christian Clark in preseason camp.
