The Wings already had a difficult decision to figure out which 12 of their 17 players would make the season-opening roster.
During the Wings’ 71-66 loss to the Indiana Fever in their preseason finale, former Texas Longhorns guard Brooke McCarty-Williams made her case to be one of the 12.
McCarty-Williams played more than 26 minutes through the first three quarters and finished with a team-high 14 points. She played nearly 26 minutes combined across the first two preseason games.
“I just did whatever the team needed me to do and filled in where I could,” McCarty-Williams said.
