New Texas head coach Tom Herman said in a radio interview Friday he plans to make changes to Darrell K Royal — Texas Memorial Stadium to build a better atmosphere.
And he can scratch beer sales off his list of fixes. According to the Wall Street Journal's Ben Cohen, the Longhorns' home stadium produced the nation's highest beer sales per capita as fans loaded up on the booze.
"In their six home football games, Texas fans drank 104,106 bottles of Miller Lite alone," Cohen wrote. "They also required 99,865 Coors Lights, 38,174 Bud Lights and 35,629 Blue Moons — but only 89 cans of Budweiser.
