Austin, Texas – The UT System Board of Regents approved a two-year contract extension for Texas Head Football Coach Tom Herman Thursday morning. Herman's contract is now for five years and runs through 2023.
"Coach Herman is building something very special and we couldn't be more excited about his leadership of our football program," Vice President and Athletics Director Chris Del Conte said. "There have been many great accomplishments, and the culture he is establishing is one that focuses on maximizing the student-athletes on the field and developing them as young men off the field, in the classroom and in our community.
