South Florida isn't letting Texas off the hook in regards to Charlie Strong's new contract.
According to Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times, the Bulls will pay the former Texas coach $9.8 million over five years, with just $1 million annually over the first two. The backloaded contract won't do any favors for Texas, who can deduct 50 percent of Strong's new salary from its buyout of his final two contract years.

Texas will save just $1 million on Strong's hiring at South Florida, and it will still owe Strong around $8 million over the next two years.
