MINNEAPOLIS – Texas All-America junior Townley Haas claimed his fourth career individual NCAA title and the second of his career in the 500-yard freestyle to highlight night two for the Longhorns at the 2018 NCAA Championships.
Freshman Sam Pomajevich joined Haas in Thursday's 500 freestyle championship final after qualifying sixth overall from the very first heat. Haas and Pomajevich both went out aggressively through the first 200 yards, and Haas never let up on his way to victory.
