NASSAU, Bahamas – It was an historic day for freshman Sophie Guo and the No. 2 Texas women's golf team on Wednesday. Guo and the Longhorns both smashed school records en route to claiming the individual and team titles at the White Sands Invitational at the Atlantis Ocean Course Golf Club in Nassau, Bahamas.
Texas shot a school-record 36-under-par to win the event by 29 strokes. It shattered the previous school record relative to par at 28-under, set at the 2018 Schooner Fall Classic. The Longhorns turned in a three-round total of 828 [276-278-274], which marked the second-best 54-hole total in school history and best on a par-72 course.
