The Texas Longhorns have holes to fill in Chris Beard’s first year at the helm, but will have a familiar piece back for next season as guard Jase Febres announced he will take advantage of his extra year of eligibility.
Febres played sparingly in the 2020-21 season, appearing in just 13 games after rehabbing from the knee injury that ended his junior campaign. Off the bench, he averaged 16.8 minutes a game, but played a big part in several late-season contests - including a 5-9 three-point performance in the conference tournament against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
