AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Men's Golf Head Coach John Fields has been selected as the 2017 Arnold Palmer Cup Head Coach for the U.S. team, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced on Tuesday.
The 20th anniversary Palmer Cup will be played from June 9-11 at Atlanta Athletic Club in Atlanta, Ga., and will feature a Ryder Cup-style competition between the United States and Europe.
Fields was named 2016 Coach of the Year for the second time in his career, led the Longhorns to the National Championship in 2012 and is a GCAA Hall of Fame member.
