AUSTIN, Texas – For the second time in her Longhorns career, Tyra Gittens was named the Big 12 Performer of the Week.
After the first time returning to Texas A&M after transferring in the fall, Gittens put on a show in College Station in the dual meet against the Aggies. The All-American and Bowerman Watch List honoree scored eight points to lead Texas over A&M 102-100.
The Trinidad and Tobago native outdid Lamara Distin on her home track to win the high jump with a mark of 1.95m (6'4.75"). The jump equaled Gittens previous personal-best jump and equaled the E.
