DOHA, Qatar – Texas Ex Alison Gibson finished fourth in 3-meter synchronized springboard competition at the World Aquatics Championships on Wednesday at the Hamad Aquatic Centre. Competing with partner Krysta Palmer, the duo secured a quota spot for Team USA to compete in that event at the Olympic Games in Paris this summer.
In their first international competition together since the Tokyo Olympic Games, Gibson and Palmer tallied 279.30 points to earn the fourth-place result, just 2.4 points from a podium finish and 44.13 points behind champions Chang Yani and Chen Yiwen of China, who scored 323.
