The Alliance of American Football was a pretty fun league to watch after the conclusion of the 2018 NFL season for a while. It didn’t seem like it was enough to carry the load and make it profitable enough to keep on going for even the length of an entire season. The AAF made it through about eight weeks until it had to suspend league operations. That move impacted key players like former Texas Longhorns football five-star quarterback signee Garrett Gilbert greatly.
Yet, one thing that the AAF folding did do for the likes of Garrett Gilbert after his time with the Orlando Apollos ran out was get them another shot at making an NFL career for themselves.
