As a big recruiting weekend winds down, Austin Bowie wide receiver Elijah Higgins released his top seven schools on Sunday evening and the Texas Longhorns made the cut:
As indicated by the graphic, the other schools that remain under consideration are Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Ohio State, Ole Miss, and Stanford.
The 6’2, 221-pounder saw his stock take off early this year following a big-time performance at the US Army Combine, with the Longhorns officially entering his recruitment at the end of January.
Following a number of visits to campus, Texas seemed like the heavy favorite, but when Lake Travis wide receiver Garrett Wilson committed to Ohio State and Higgins started taking more visits, the Horns seemed to fall off.
