Texas has scored another win on the recruiting trail.
Four-star Odessa Permian athlete Peyton Powell gave the Longhorns a verbal pledge on Tuesday afternoon.
He announced his decision via Twitter.
Powell picked Texas over offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, TCU, Utah and a handful of other major programs.
At 6-foot-2, 182 pounds, Powell is ranked as the No. 19 athlete in the country and No. 42 overall prospect in the state, per 247Sports Composite.
Texas now has 19 commits in its 2019 class.
