FUKUOKA, Japan – Texas Men's Swimming's Carson Foster won silver in the 400-meter individual medley at the World Aquatics Championships on Sunday at the Marine Messe Fukuoka. It marked the second consecutive world championships in which Foster has captured silver in the event after finishing runner-up last year in Budapest.
Swimming for the United States, Foster swam 4:06.56 to equal his personal-best time in the 400 IM, taking second to Leon Marchand of France, who touched the wall in 4:02.50 to break Michael Phelps' record of 4:03.84 established at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
