Former Texas Longhorns star safety DeShon Elliott’s rookie season with the Baltimore Ravens may have ended before it could officially begin.
On Saturday during the Ravens 27-10 preseason win over the Miami Dolphins, Elliott suffered an injury on kickoff coverage, which Baltimore head coach Jim Harbaugh later said appears to be a fractured forearm. Elliott is expected to miss much, if not all of his rookie season.
“I don’t know what that’s going to mean as far as whether it’s the whole season or part of the season,” Harbaugh announced.
A sixth round selection in the 2018 NFL Draft, Elliott totaled 10 tackles, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery throughout his first three preseason appearances.
