Texas can add another Hall of Famer to its historic résumé.
The National Football Foundation announced former Longhorns offensive tackle Bob McKay as a member of its 2017 College Football Hall of Fame class Monday. He is the 18th Longhorn to earn a Hall of Fame nod.
McKay played a key role for legendary coach Darrell K Royal in the late 1960s. He earned All-American honors while paving the way for Texas' wishbone offense. He also helped the program to its first national title in 1969, finishing with a 20–1–1 record in his final two years on campus.
