Travis County court documents reveal that former Texas Longhorns linebacker S’Maje Burrell is facing a felony charge for allegedly causing the accident that resulted in the April DWI arrest of former Texas defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat, according to an affidavit obtained by KXAN.
The third-degree felony charged against Burrell is for a collision involving injury with failure to stop and render aid. In Texas, that charge carries a potential prison sentence of up to five years and a fine of up to $5,000.
