An interesting turn of events in the NFL this offseason is the takeover of former Texas football coaches joining their new head coach Urban Meyer. Texas has a couple of very prominent former coaches that are now on staff with the former Florida Gators and Ohio State Buckeyes three-time National Championship winning head coach Meyer with the Jags.
One is the former Texas head coach Charlie Strong, and the other is former defensive coordinator/safeties coach Chris Ash. Strong was the Longhorns’ head coach prior to Tom Herman, but after Mack Brown, from 2014-2016.
