A former commit of the 2020 Texas football recruiting class that was one of the most unique and versatile talents that was lost by head coach Tom Herman was the three-star in-state running back/athlete prospect Ty Jordan. Texas originally landed the commitment of the ultra speedy and elusive 5-foot-7 and 185 pound West Mesquite all-purpose running back, but lost it ahead of the Early Signing Period last December.
