In a series of tweets Wednesday, former Texas All-American safety DeShon Elliott took the Longhorns coaching staff to task for criticizing players who had left early for the NFL draft.
"If you really 'loved' your players the way you portray then you wouldn't continually talk bad about them behind closed doors," Elliott tweeted. "Bad mouthing us to our brothers who we played for and cried and sweat for way before you stepped on campus.
A former Rockwall standout who was selected by Baltimore in the sixth round, Elliott exempted a couple of football staff members from the charges.
