AUSTIN, Texas –The Texas Football program, under fourth-year head coach Steve Sarkisian, earned its highest preseason ranking in the Associated Press (AP) Top 25 since 2009 after checking in at No. 4, the AP released Monday.
It is the seventh time in the last eight seasons in which Texas has been ranked in the preseason AP Top 25. It marks Texas' first preseason AP Top 10 ranking since 2019, when UT clocked in at No. 10.
Texas' 2024 schedule features seven home games and nine contests that will take place in the State of Texas, with the Arkansas, Michigan and Vanderbilt games being the lone ones outside of the state.
