Texas played its annual Orange-White Spring Game. The Longhorns were only able to play one half because of rainy weather conditions.
Here are five takeaways from the Longhorns’ spring game:
1. Offense is faster. The Longhorns offense proved to be faster under offensive coordinator Sterlin Gilbert. Texas was snapping the ball with plenty of time left on the play clock. This change in tempo, however, didn’t always make the offense better. It took nearly an entire quarter for the Longhorns to find the endzone. Texas first touchdown came on a 27-yard pass from freshman quarterback Shane Buechele to junior wide receiver Armanti Foreman.
