The Longhorns made it unnecessarily close with three turnovers (two of them muffed punt returns), but pulled off a hard fought win against a game Oklahoma State team behind a fine offensive performance and some opportunistic defense.
Special teams? Well. We might want to rethink our hands team and give Brandon Jones and Jake Smith a little punt instruction. Yikes.
The key Longhorn defensive plays of the game were made by Malcolm Roach on a 4th and 1 stop near the Longhorn goal line where he threw the OSU guard five yards into the backfield to stuff a Chuba Hubbard run, and two excellent plays by Keondre Coburn, who created his own TFL run stuff on a key OSU 3rd down near scoring position and then had a tipped ball pass deflection that resulted in a Chris Brown interception.
