Phew.
Texas needed that one.
The Longhorns fell behind 14-0 early with horrific defensive play and even worse coaching, but as the offense kicked in gear behind Keaontay Ingram (16-139-2) and a precision RPO game (Duvernay and CJ both topped 100+ receiving yards) and Todd Orlando’s learning curve improved as he realized that KSU had weak starting receivers and was playing their 3rd and 4th string RBs. Perhaps 10 yard cushions paired with six man blitzes isn’t the best tactic?
The Longhorns rallied and dominated the entire second half. Even if the scoreboard didn’t full reflect it due to crippling penalties and a Wildcat kickoff return TD where the returner was never touched.
