FORT WORTH - Texas had been here before this season, mulling what might have been after breakdowns late in the game.
The Longhorns couldn't find a way to finish in a 65-61 loss Wednesday at TCU, just like previous Big 12 defeats against Kansas and Oklahoma State when Texas had shots at the end to win or tie. After TCU gave two fouls on Texas' final possession, the Horned Frogs pressured Elijah Mitrou-Long in the corner. His forced 3-pointer for a tie missed badly off the top of the backboard.
"We just wanted to get a shot up, to be honest," Texas senior Kerwin Roach said.
