"Everything is bigger in Texas" certainly applied to Nathan Thornhill over the weekend, as the former Longhorns' pitcher commissioned a replica of the UT Tower for his groom's cake.
Thornhill and his wife Katherine Farmer got married on Saturday at Tarrytown United Methodist Church in Austin. Now retired from baseball, Thornhill saved 42 games and tallied 19 victories in his four years with the burnt orange. He ended his career with the Longhorns in 2014, sporting a 2.36 ERA.
