AZUSA, Calif. – The No. 10/10 Texas track and field program competed on the first day of the distance carnival at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
Junior Eva Jess broke the Texas 10,000-meter program record by .01 of a second with her personal-best time of 32:54.06. The time was nearly two minutes better than her previous best (34:52.67) she set at the Mt. SAC Relays last season.
On the men's side, senior Haftu Knight ran the 10th-fastest time in Texas history with his time of 28:50.90 and finished 17th.
