Estudillo Torres claims her first NCAA title, Sticklen lowers her own school record as Women’s Swim and Dive remains in striking distance following day three

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Texas Women's Swim and Dive remains within striking distance at third-place following the third day of the four-day NCAA Championships at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center Friday. Freshman Alejandra Estudillo Torres won the national title in the 3-meter while senior Emma Sticklen dismantled her own school record in the 100 butterfly to highlight a jampacked day.

The Longhorns, who have accumulated 288 points, trail second-place Stanford (292) but just four points heading into the final day. Virginia remains in the lead with 383 total points. Texas has also separated itself from fourth-place Indiana, who has recorded 209 points through 14 events.
