IRVING, Texas – Texas Football senior QB Sam Ehlinger was selected as a member of the 2020 National Football Foundation (NFF) National Scholar-Athlete Class, presented by Fidelity Investments, and a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy presented by Mazda, the NFF & College Hall of Fame announced Thursday.
The Campbell Trophy honors college football's best scholar-athlete. Ehlinger is the 12th Longhorn to be named an NFF Scholar-Athlete and finalist for the award, and Texas has had two previous winners of the Campbell Trophy in Dallas Griffin (2007) and Sam Acho (2010).
"It's an honor to represent this team and University as an NFF Scholar-Athlete and Campbell Trophy finalist," Ehlinger said.
