AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Football senior QB Sam Ehlinger was named a top-15 candidate for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award on Friday. The Golden Arm Award is presented annually to the top senior or upperclassman quarterback set to graduate with their class. Candidates are selected based on their performance both on and off the field.
Ehlinger, a two-time team captain, has completed 164-of-279 passes for 2,132 yards and 23 touchdowns this season. He is also UT's leading rusher with 388 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground.
