Ja'Quinden Jackson, a four-star athlete and the No. 1 player in the SportsDayHS top 50 for 2020, on Monday committed to Texas.
In a video he posted on Twitter, Jackson unzipped his jacket to reveal a Longhorns T-shirt and delivered a clear message: "Dallas to Austin."
"I've been waiting for this moment for a long time," Jackson said in the video. "I've got the weight of the city on my back."
Jackson’s decision represents a major addition to the Longhorns, whom have struggled to keep pace with Big 12 rival Oklahoma at recruiting the Dallas area in recent seasons.
