Former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees knows a thing or two about player development. After all, the retired gunslinger spent nearly two decades in the NFL before he decided to hang up his cleats only a few years back. Now, he talks about football for a living.
And in this case, Brees got on the subject of Texas Longhorns backup Arch Manning.
Brees suggested the second-year redshirt freshman should take full advantage of his college football eligiblity. In fact, he even thinks Manning should stay at Texas for three additional seasons once 2024 wraps up and starter Quinn Ewers heads for the NFL.
