The SEC and hoverboards apparently have something in common, according to one Big 12 coach.
In an interview with ESPN published Thursday, Oklahoma State's Mike Gundy believes the allure of playing in the SEC has worn off on recruits in the state of Texas, kind of like how people think hoverboards are old news. Gundy said the fading luster of playing in the SEC is the reason why Big 12 schools have recruited the state so well during the 2018 cycle.
"It's pretty simple," Gundy told ESPN. "The shiny new product of the SEC wore off.
