Dickson’s Cousin Could Give Texas Longhorns a Leg Up

Last year, and through his three-year career in Austin, Michael Dickson made Longhorn fans fall in love with specialists again. More specifically, Longhorn fans fell in love with punters.

In his junior year, the Australian won the Ray Guy award along with just about every other accolade a punter can get by posting a 47.4 yard average in 84 punts. That mark matched his previous school record. To top things off, Dickson took home the Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl MVP by putting 10 of his 11 punts inside the 20 yard line.

Since then, Dickson has moved on, drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round with the 149th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
