Yahoo Sports released an investigation that outlined a number of college athletes -- past and present -- who allegedly received impermissible benefits and broke NCAA rules.
Citing documents obtained in discovery as part of the FBI investigation, the report lists more than 25 players from over a dozen schools that are linked to impermissible benefits.
Dennis Smith Jr, the Dallas Mavericks' first-round draft pick in 2017, allegedly received more than $40,000, according to documents discovered by Yahoo.
Dennis Smith, who would go on to play at North Carolina State in 2016-17, received $43,500 according to the documents.
