Cross Country sweeps Texas Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas sophomore Destiny Collins got her second win in as many races to open the cross country season and the men's team dominated the Texas Invitational on Thursday night as the Longhorns showcased their depth with team wins on both sides.

Collins rolled to her win in 13:42.60 over the 4,000 meters for the women. She dominated the field, pulling away again at the midway point. Her closest competitor finished more than 30 seconds behind her. The Texas women scored 23 points to get the win with Texas Tech finishing second with 56 points.
