AUSTIN, Texas – Texas men's golf junior Pierceson Coody was named a finalist for the 2021 Jack Nicklaus Award on Thursday. He is the first Longhorn to be named a finalist for the prestigious award since Doug Ghim in 2018.
This season, Coody has been instrumental in Texas' success as a team as well as starring as an individual both collegiately and as an amateur elsewhere. He is ranked among the top five in all four major college and amateur rankings, including No. 2 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) and No. 3 in the Scratch Players World Amateur Ranking (SPWAR).
