Conger wins second silver medal at World University Games

GWANGJU, South Korea – Texas rising junior swimmer Jack Conger helped the USA to a silver medal in the 400-meter medley relay Friday on the final day of swimming at the 2015 World University Games.

Conger (Rockville, Md.) joined Jacob Pebley, Daniel MacDonald and Matthew Josa to win silver for the United States in 3 minutes, 34.61 seconds, just five one-hundredths of a second behind gold medalist Russia. Japan took the bronze in 3:34.82.

Japan and Russia held first and second respectively through 300 meters before Conger closed the gap on the relay's anchor leg.
