The Longhorns second baseman is having a breakout junior season on the Forty Acres.
AUSTIN, Texas—In the midst of a breakout season on the Forty Acres, junior Kody Clemens has been named one of 25 semifinalists for the Golden Spikes Award, USA Baseball announced today. The Golden Spikes Award is given to the top amateur baseball player in the United States and is presented in partnership with the Rod Dedeaux Foundation.
Clemens has compiled a .344/.437/.703 line this season in leading the Longhorns to their first Big 12 regular season title since 2011.
