AUSTIN, Texas—Texas Baseball junior Kody Clemens has been selected to the Baseball America All-America first-team at second base, the publication announced today. Earlier today, Clemens was given the same honor by Collegiate Baseball.
So far this season, Clemens has mashed 19 homers to go along with a .341 average and 61 RBI. After his walk-off two-run shot against TCU on May 18, Clemens hit another the following day and became the first Longhorn to hit 19 homers since Kyle Russell, the last Texas position player to earn first-team All-America honors, did so in 2007.
