The good news? Texas football now has more wins than it’s had in any season since 2013 after its 41-34 victory in Lubbock on Saturday. The bad news? It’s still just seven wins.
The Longhorns outlasted a late Texas Tech surge on the backs of quarterback Sam Ehlinger and wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey -- who did his best Michael Crabtree impression with a touchdown grab to seal the game in the final minute of the fourth quarter.
Humphrey followed up a 143-yard receiving performance against West Virginia with 159 receiving yards against Texas Tech and a pair of touchdowns — including the game winner.
