Shaka Smart and the Longhorns have some work to do over the next two months if they're going to make it back to the NCAA tournament.
Texas (10-5, 2-1 Big 12) began the season a promising 5-0, which included a 92-89 upset victory over then-No. 7 North Carolina in November's Las Vegas Invitational. But then the Longhorns, who briefly sat at No. 17 in the AP poll, lost three straight games and have been up-and-down ever since.
Texas started 2-0 in Big 12 play before suffering a disappointing 61-58 loss to lowly Oklahoma State on Tuesday night in Stillwater.
