WACO, Texas – Kristine Blazevica, Leo Neugebauer and Marilyn Nwora were crowned Big 12 Champions on the second day of the outdoor championships. The No. 9 women lead the team standings with 49 points after seven events and the No. 8 men are third with 42.
Blazevica got the scoring started for Texas winning her fourth-straight Big 12 heptathlon title with 5,954 points. The seven-time Big 12 champion becomes the first athlete, male or female, in conference history to win a multi for four years in a row. The score ranks as the seventh-best in UT history and she now owns six of the top-10 performances ever at UT.
