The biggest play that Jarrett Culver made Saturday for Texas Tech in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge will be relegated to the fine print in the box score.
With Arkansas trailing by three and trying to tie in the final seconds, Culver dived on the floor, leading to a kicked ball violation. Then Davide Moretti hit two free throws to secure a 67-64 Tech win over the Razorbacks.
In the process, Tech broke a three-game losing streak with Culver scoring 12 of his 15 points in the second half. Tech's victory gave the Big 12 a 6-4 series edge in the Challenge, coming just after Kentucky had secured a 71-63 win over Kansas in a showcase of blue bloods.
